Satuan Polisi Pamong Praja (Satpol PP) Malang showed assertive behavior. Last Tuesday (5/8), the upholder institution of Perda Malang did persistently destruction building of telecommunication infrastructure such tower of Telkomsel in Kelurahan Merjosari Kecamatan Lowokwaru.
Tower about 60 meters, which does not have any permission of establishing building (IMB), was exposed after Satpol PP had given notice for many times. Beside, the society around stated an objection of establishing the tower.
The head of Satpol PP Malang, Dra. Rr.Diana Ina WH, MM said that her side exposed the tower because there was no response from the owner to expose itself. Although had been many times Pemkot sent letter to the owner, it was not exposed yet. “It was the last step because chance to expose itself was careless. There were 20 steps had done by Satpol PP, such communicate with Telkomsel,” she explained.
From the first its tower was built, it obviously made problem. When the construction was started last April 2007, the constructor does not have IMB. Then, on July 2007 it was taken on assembly of relieved criminal act and subjected to pay 2 millions. Moreover, the constructor had to write an affidavit to stop the constructor until having IMB.
Nevertheless, the tower owner could not show IMB to the Satpol PP. Once again, Satpol PP asked the constructor for exposing the building itself. In fact, they did not do the destruction and even proposed the postponed letter of destruction. That’s why Satpol PP did the destruction persistently.
